Julian Martin and other seven other artists are featured in a collaboration with Gorman and Arts Project Australia. The textile-adapted work appear at Gorman’s 40 stores across Australia and on their online store. LINK

Collingwood Yards

Arts Project gallery is moving from its Northcote location, which continues as a studio, to a contemporary art space within Collingwood Yards, a new arts precinct in Melbourne's inner north.

The exhibition showcases iconic pastel drawings by Julian Martin and has been very well received.

Dobell Drawing Prize

March 2021

Julian Martin has been selected as a finalist in the Dobell Drawing Prize. Since 2019, the National Art School has partnered with the Sir William Dobell Art Foundation to produce the Dobell Drawing Prize, a new iteration of the Dobell Prize which ran between 1993 and 2012. The biennial prize is the leading drawing exhibition in Australia and celebrates technical skill innovation and expanded definitions of drawing. The $30,000 acquisitive prize will be awarded at the opening of the finalists' exhibition at NAS Gallery on 25 March 2021. The exhibition then runs until 22 May 2021.

This is to celebrate IFAW's 50th Anniversary and to recognise the partnership between Leonard Joel and IFAW concerning the trade of rhinoceros horn and elephant ivory.
